CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
FIRST COMMUNION CLASS
On Saturday, March 11 from 10:00 -12:00 am, an initial First Holy Communion 2-hour Session will be held in the downstairs Youth Fusion room. Please RSVP to the Church Office to let us know you are coming. Holy Communion Registration Forms are available from the church office and from Pastor Donna. Please know that another function is happening that day in the Fellowship Hall, so please be sure to enter through the door to the left as you are facing the sanctuary entrance nearest to 10th Street. There will be a Heart Flag in front of it.
That day we will decide together on what day and time we will gather next and also choose a date for the children to celebrate their First Holy Communion.
LENTEN MIDWEEK SOUP & BREAD SUPPERS AND DEVOTIONS 2023
Each Wednesday in Lent expect a celebration that is worshipful, meaningful, and intergenerational. All ages will, pray, sing, worship, and study God’s Word together. These Wednesdays also serve as an integral part of First Communion as well as Confirmation preparation.
Martin Luther’s Small Catechism has been associated with the season of Lent since the time Luther first published it in time for Lent in 1529. During our mid-week Lenten Series Luther's thoughts and writings will come alive right before your eyes!
Each week we will review one chief part of Luther’s Catechism through a dramatic monologue from Martin Luther himself. He will explain eloquently and simply what each part of the catechism means for us as believers, and it will end with an affirmation of certainty: "This is most certainly true!"
Lenten Soup & Bread Suppers begin at 5:30 pm
5:30 pm - 6:15 pm - Soup & Bread Supper

CONFIRMATION MINISTRY
Confirmation continues every Wednesday throughout Lent at the Lenten Soup & Bread Suppers. It is my prayer that our students (Confirmation and our First Communicats) are expected to be present and their families are strongly encouraged to accompany them.
